Calm and beauty in the chaos - India 2026
As it was our first trip to India, my wife and I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. However, nothing could have prepared us for stepping out of Delhi airport on a Wednesday morning and trying to find our first bus.
The noise, the smells, the constant movement, people brushing past you from every direction — it feels like a full assault on the senses. No guidebook can truly prepare you for that moment. But what at first seems like chaos slowly reveals itself to be something else entirely: a tapestry of countless small, individual stories unfolding all at once.
When you begin to slow down and really take in your surroundings, you start to see India differently. There is beauty everywhere …. in the colour, the energy, the humanity. You feel almost intoxicated by it all, completely absorbed by each new experience and deeply moved by the warmth and generosity of the people.
Since returning home, many have asked what India was like, what I thought of it, and whether I would go back. The truth is, my answer changes every time I reflect on it — with every memory of a personal encounter, every temple visited, every incredible meal, every story shared about one of the many gods. India resists being summed up in a single sentence. It is too complex, too vibrant, too alive for that.
Its best left to the images in the above gallery …. Pull up a very comfy chair and enjoy the ride , Namaste to you all
